Susan Andree, MS, NCC, LPC-S (she/her)
I help individuals, couples and people in ethical non-monogamous (ENM) relationships who are feeling frustrated, lost, or disconnected find a way toward understanding yourself, clarity within your relationship(s), and moving forward in your chosen life. If you’ve been feeling stuck in a loop of thoughts that leaves you exhausted, and often misunderstood and confused, I want you to know that change is possible and you’re in the right place.
My approach is warm and collaborative. In our sessions, we will search for deeper understanding of self. We will explore the connections of the past with your present self to decide what is useful to your present self and what you can move on from. I often use the analogy of a purse or a backpack that you need to organize. A person dumps it out on the table and sorts through what needs to go back in and what needs to be discarded or moved so you are not carrying it around. You will make space in your backpack for useful tools that can help you move in your desired direction. You can expect our time together to feel safe, pressure free, and insightful so you can take what you have come to understand forward in all your relationships with others and, most of all, with yourself.
I’ve spent 19 years as a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor honing my skills and helping people navigate their anxiety, depression, and their relationships. While I bring a deep background in Person-Centered and Psychodynamic approaches, I prioritize human connection more than anything else because the best tools only work when you feel truly heard.
Personal growth can be uncomfortable or even downright painful, but I will support and empower you to achieve the life you want. I have specialized experience in couples counseling, individuals with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am an inclusive provider; welcoming LGBTQ+ and any ethnicity.
I meet with clients virtually and in-person. The easiest way to get started is to text or request an appointment right here. Once you do, we’ll briefly chat on the phone or via text or email to make sure we’re a great therapeutic fit and get you on my schedule.
